What happens if you bravely try to trim your cat’s claws and (oh no!) the claw starts to bleed?  You’ve cut a little too deeply into the claw. Furminator “burn” so bad it looks like chemical burn. Ouch!

Poor doggie! This is the kind of damage that overly enthusiastic use of a Furminator can do to an animal. The Furminator has stiff metal ridges. If you use it carefully and for a minute or two, it’s fine for getting out undercoat. Just don’t get carried away! See video.
